Restaurants and Bars Lead the Way for Job Recovery
According to nrn.com, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said the unemployment rate stayed at 5.9% in June. Nonfarm employment grew 850,000 last month, and restaurants and bars made up more than 194,000 (23%) of those jobs. Employment is up by 15.6 million from April 2020, but still 6.8 million below pre-pandemic levels in February 2020.
How can you help restaurants and bars continue to fill their many open positions to keep up with the increase in dining-in? Can you help connect jobless consumers with businesses looking for their next great hire?
